At Mindful Path Psychological Services, all services are private pay.  Payment is required  at the time of service via the Simple Practice existing client portal. A form of payment is required to schedule an appointment but you will not be charged until the time of the appointment. 


If you cannot make your teletherapy appointment time and do not cancel with a 24 hour advance notice, you will be charged the full fee.  All major credit cards and FSA or HSA cards can be used for payment for mental health care with Dr. Tera. 

On a monthly basis, if requested, we will provide you with documentation of your services and payments to submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement.  We do not submit claims directly to insurance companies on your behalf and there is no guarantee you will be reimbursed.  


Health insurance companies require a DSM 5 Mental Health diagnosis (e.g., Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) in order to cover psychotherapy services.  When you use your insurance, session information and your diagnosis becomes a part of your permanent medical record.

  • Are you in-network with insurance?
    Mindful Path is an Out of Network (OON) Provider for all insurance companies. We recommend that you contact your insurance company to understand your benefits if you are interested in trying to seek reimbursement for your services at Mindful Path Psychological Services.
  • Do you offer in-person appointments?
    At this time, Mindful Path is a teletherapy only practice.
  • What should I know about my teletherapy session?
    It is best that you use a computer or tablet for the session, so I can have a good view of you and your hands can be free. If you need to use your phone for sessions, a solid place to set it up is helpful to facilitate good communication and lower screen movement. At the start of your session, we will confirm the following: your physical location for the session, that you are in a private and confidential space, your back-up phone number, and your emergency contact. In the event that technology issues or other issues disrupt the session on either end, and we aren’t able to quickly re-connect (within 1-2 minutes) the session will resume by telephone.
